World Wrestling Entertainment is an integrated media organization and recognized leader in global entertainment. WWE has over 1 billion social media followers, which is more than all the other major sports networks combined. WWE’s operations are organized around the following three business activities: Media, Live Events and Consumer Products.

Campaign Goals

  • Increase top-level funnel with new prospects for WWE Network

  • Increase traffic to the WWE Shop ecommerce platform

  • Increase downloads to WWE apps and games

  • Sell tickets to local WWE events

  • Increase awareness to XFL and upcoming WWE pay per view events

What we did

WWE is a dream customer for the Apollo platform. With some much valuable content to share with customers. To start, the primary goal was to drive new potential customers to the WWE Network. They offer a Free Month to new subscribers which includes the next upcoming pay-per-view, a tremendous value and no brainer to any customer. We created a creative to promote the WWE Network and put the alert all over sports websites, and viral entertainment targeting millennial males.

We also created supplemental ads promoting their other value including, the WWE shop and holding Flash Sales or offering an instant e-coupon which drove engaged users directly to their shop page. We also promoted content they generated that promoted the upcoming XFL relaunch and other weekly news to their RAW and Smackdown shows on the USA Network. Finally, we ran a small campaign to increase downloads to their App store for WWE Mayham.
